Originally designed by Ion Mincu — one of the founders of the Romanian architectural style — as the Romanian Pavilion for the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889, Casa Doina was subsequently rebuilt in Bucharest along Șoseaua Kiseleff, where it has stood for over 130 years. Known in its early years as “Bufetul de la Șosea”, the building operated continuously as a dining destination — even throughout the war years. Following a careful restoration, this authentic 19th-century landmark was fully renovated and reimagined as a refined restaurant, where fine Romanian cuisine, a spectacular setting, and attentive service come together in one of the capital’s most beloved addresses.
